Each rig is handmade to assure the finest quality, designed to handle the rigors of pulling large bottom-dwelling fish up to the surface. When you’re seeking fish that live in total darkness and frigid temperatures a quarter-mile or more beneath the surface, you need to be prepared. Three Buoys uses only the best components such as Mustad Ultrapoint hooks, heavy-duty swivels, and ball bearing snap swivels. These rigs are field-tested and they work. Yellow Eye / Silk Snapper Deep Drop Rig

Three Buoys Deep Drop Rigs for Yellow Eye / Silk Snapper can be used for Black Belly Rosefish and other smaller delectable deep water critters. Crafted with four (4) 4/0 VMC Circle Hooks, this rig is specifically designed to produce the meat. It features a 12-foot section of 150 lb. main line and stealthy 100 lb. branch lines, the longer branch lines allow the fish to inhale the bait while not feeling the load of the main line, resulting in a higher hookup ratio. The rigs also feature a Micro #5 Owner Gummy Glow Bead over the finishing crimp, designed to entice more bites. Fish the rigs with “fresh” chunk bait such as Squid, Barracuda, Bonita, or Goggle-eye. As a general rule of thumb, we like to make our hook baits approximately two (2) times the size of the hook. We designed these rigs with one thing in mind, increasing your catch productivity and perfecting the art of getting tight.
