The most versatile and widely used reel configuration in the market is the 80-wide.  The Shimano Tiagra® 80WA combines the line capacity required for big game fishing, simple mechanics, and the ability to fish a wide range of species. This configuration has been put thru the paces and it’s widely popular among well-respected charter captains, commercial fishermen, and avid anglers alike.

Whether you are fishing for daytime Swordfish, dredge pulling for billfish, or deep-dropping for bottom dwellers, the Hooker Electric 80 does it all in spades. The unit is capable of retrieving rates of up to 500 ft/per minute at full speed. Control the retrieval rate with full variable speed control. In addition, it comes with a 100ft range 2-button RF remote control for hands-free operation. Button (A) for half speed and button (B) for full speed.

The Shimano Tiagra® 80WA consists of one piece machined aluminum frame, a cold-forged aluminum spool, anti-rust ball bearings, 2-speed gears, a Twin Disk Drag system (on 16 sizes), an elastomer grip, and much more. This reel will play and tame the biggest fish with poise. The Tiagra A reel will give you confidence in your tackle, allowing you to concentrate on catching.
